Hello Everyone -

Today, we’ve added an entirely new product line and we couldn’t be happier! We are beginning services on the Huawei line of smartphones. Over the next week or so, I will be introducing the new repairs one by one.

Our first introduction is the Huawei M860 Ascend.

This awesome phone is carried by both Cricket and  MetroPCS and has some great consumer reviews. It sports a 3.5″ multi-touch screen and is has integrated a trackball for a secondary navigation method. Despite of its modest features, the amount of people who have this phone and have asked for this service is staggering.

We are excited to finally offer this service! We have had many repair requests for this and all Huawei smartphones. Please visit www.gotrepair.com to get your order started today!

Cheers, Troy

Good afternoon, readers-

The last few days have been pretty busy around here! Between the day off last week and the high volume of orders coming in this week, we are finding ourselves busier than normal. It sure feels good but slows down the necessary tasks of the day…blogging, emailing, taking out the trash… :) It’s all good though. Knowing that we got some much deserved time with our families last week, and being forced to stay on our toes this week, it is an interesting change of pace.

As a business owner, I feel like we need a bit of a shake up from time to time. Our employees are doing a great job of withstanding the pressure of the busy days and our customers are doing a wonderful job of sending in orders, calling with questions, and complimenting our services.

Thank you!!

So here it is, the middle of another electronics repair rush and I find myself carving out a few minutes to thank our sales department, technicians, and your our loyal customers for all of the hard work, business, praise, and patience. We are doing our very best here to provide the nation with the most amazing iPhone, cell phone, iPad, and computer repair service. And don’t worry…I am committed to continuous improvement.

Give us a call if you ever need anything, 866-638-8402. We are open 7 days a week with the exception of major holidays…and always more than happy to help!

Have a great afternoon, Ryan

Hello Everyone!

On October 4, 2011 Apple released the iPhone 4S and while it had some cool improvements, I thought it was a little disappointing. As you can see from my blog on Mission Repair’s website on September 21, 2011, I was hoping for an iPhone 5…It looks like we will have to wait a while longer for this much rumored about iPhone!

However, we did get AppleCare+ (AppleCare plus) that gives you 2 incidents of accidental damage when you purchase it! This is a breakthrough when you buy your iPhone- you can purchase the AppleCare+ plan and have peace of mind when you buy an iPhone from Apple. Or does it? Let’s take a look at their “included” accidental incident plan, and let’s focus on the screen, which is the most common expensive “accidental” repair. Let’s face it; AppleCare + covers accessories like your earbuds, but it also comes with a $49 replacement fee. . .so I think that I’d rather buy a replacement set of Apple earbuds on eBay for $14.99 outright rather than use up one of my 2 chances for any kind of REAL repair for $49. Let’s see what this plan really offers:

1. You have to pay $99 up front to be included in the plan. This is a bit unnerving to have to spend an extra (almost) hundred dollars when you’re already making a purchase, but heck, it can come in handy, right? The issue is that if you DON’T drop or crack your screen you’re out that $99. There’s no getting that money back!

2. Now, let’s assume you DID buy the AppleCare+ plan for your iPhone. And then you dropped it. No biggie, you’re covered. Yup, you’re covered alright, for an additional $49. This service costs you another $49 on top of the $99. Sheesh!

3. Let’s say you pay the $99, plus the $49, and you drop it again. I mean, how many times could this happen to one person? Believe me, unless you have the iPhone tethered to your wrist you know that small items can be dropped – and Apple includes 2 incidents of coverage for a reason. OK Apple will take care of you again for another $49. Bing, there you go.

4. Ok, here’s where it gets fun. Let’s say you break it for the 3rd time. It’s getting expensive now because Apple is going to charge you $199 for the repair. Remember that they only cover 2 incidents of accidental damage – so far these 3 repairs are costing you $396. You read that right, $396! What if you should happen to break it again? Just keep on adding $199 to the price. Pretty soon you’ll have to take out a second mortgage.

Here at Got Repair, we were built for this exact scenario. Let’s take a look at this matrix, and you can click on it to get a larger image:

1. We don’t charge you anything up front. So if you never break the screen, you never pay us a dime.

2. Let’s say you do break your iPhone 4 glass. It’s a common issue, and Got Repair is here to help. As of today, April 16, 2012, our repair price is $99 which includes parts and labor and our GOT REPAIR warranty benefits.

3. Here’s the beautiful part: If you break it again after we repair it, you AUTOMATICALLY have our GOT REPAIR benefits attached to the phone (which came with your repair for FREE) and we’ll repair it again under our GOT REPAIR program. This only costs you $45 and now you’re into Got Repair for $144 total.

4. If you break it again (for the 3rd time) then you only pay $45 again. In fact, for Apple’s Accidental Incident Price of $396 as I mentioned before, we only charge $189. And there is the bread and butter of it.

Think about it…there are some benefits to having AppleCare on your device, but be careful not to just go on the basis that Apple now includes accidental damage. My example above of using the screen repair for the iPhone 4 is pretty clear cut. Got Repair rises out among the competition, we are here for you!

Take Care,
Ryan

Good morning!

I talk about this subject a lot and I’m sure you all know that we fix iPhones!

I was looking around in our repair center today. This particular iPhone stuck out to me and I wanted to point out a few things.

Not only is it all under one low price but you get a 1 year warranty and our GOT REPAIR benefits too!

If you need your iPhone 3GS repaired think Got Repair and we will get you back in business!

Hello Everyone!

So recently the new iPhone iOS 5.1 came out! My son immediately did the update and was excited to show me he now has 4G on his AT&T iPhone 4S. I have to admit I was surprised…an iPhone running 4G?

A lot of people are unaware that the iPhone 4S can run on AT&T’s HSPA+ network. This is a technology that T-Mobile as well as AT&T use to advertise their “4G” products. HSPA is pretty much 3G technology that is capable of running speeds similar to 4G networks. However, it does run slower than LTE or WiMax. Now I know a lot about iPhones but this is new knowledge to even me :).

This has surely raised questions to AT&T users. We are all used to seeing that 3G symbol on our screen so seeing 4G is kind of nice!

There is quite a debate on what constitutes a 4G device. The International Telecommunications Union modified its definition a bit at the end of 2010. Now technologies such as LTE, WiMax and HSPA+ are considered 4G networks when they weren’t before.

We decided to do a test with my black iPhone 4 and a white iPhone 4S to see which would be faster loading our Got Repair website in Safari…and strangely enough the iPhone 4 continually loaded faster.

I don’t think there will be a lot of complaining because this upgrade is free but there is a lot of debate on the web right now about what’s going on. I think that we will be seeing a “real” iPhone with 4G in the near future!

Be sure to comment if you have more information on this subject!

Hello Again!

It has recently come to my attention that there are many questions and debates concerning iPhone 3G Digitizer and Glass repair. We have been getting in a lot of orders for this type of repair so I wanted to clear up a few things.

So you’ve cracked the glass on your iPhone 3G…

I realize that you can buy an iPhone 3G glass panel on eBay for around $20, however, this will NOT fix your iPhone! These glass panels do NOT come with the digitizer, the second layer under the glass top, attached to them. In addition, there is NO way to UN-attach your digitizer and put it on this new glass panel. If you are wanting to do this repair yourself, then you need to be sure to buy a replacement glass panel with a digitizer.

This repair would be A LOT easier if you buy the entire front panel including the home button, bracketry, digitizer and glass panel. BUT…you do not need to have this “complete” assembly. It is also not available on the market at this time.

The repair process has several steps. First, disassemble the iPhone. Take off the front panel then carefully remove the cracked glass and digitizer from the frame. Other repair centers use a utility knife to get the glass out, which can cause scrapes and damage to your phone.

The good news for you is that here at Got Repair we have developed a sure fire method of removing the glass panel successfully and without damage. With this careful system we insure the safety of your phone!

That’s all the information I have for you for now and I hope it is helpful! Take care if you are repairing your iPhone 3G yourself and if it proves effective then send us your resume :)! Great technicians are always an asset!

See you soon,
Ryan
